Recycle

Help the Earth - Recycle

It is time for our annual recycling drive! Recycling means taking a product or material at the end of its useful life and making it a usable raw material to make another product. We have been very successful with paper and plastic products. Last year, we recycled more items than our previous three years. Let's try to do it again this year. We will have a dinner for everyone involved with the recycle drive on Saturday night. We hope to see you all there!

About Recycling

The most common materials we recycle are plastic, aluminum, paper, and glass. Even though the United States tries to do their part in recycling, there is always room for improvement. We tend to recycle about 28% of our waste today which has doubled in the past decade. Austria on the other hand, recycles 60% of its waste which leads the European continent. Greece lacks the importance of recycling by only recycling 10% of its waste. Recycling not only conserves our resources and limit global warming, but also makes you feel good knowing you contributed to making our world a cleaner place to live in.

When

Our annual recycling drive will be held this Saturday, Feb 20,2016 between the hours of noon till 6pm at the Stockton Recycling Center. We will give out valuable information on how and what to recycle. Special guest Sally Save Water will host this event so come on over with a meet and greet.
